职位描述
The Spare Parts Manager plans, coordinates, and directs Global Spare Parts Department to ensure the best lead time, costs and customer satisfaction to the distributors and consumers around the world. Must have a wide knowledge and experience in critical functions such as sales, inventory control, Distribution Center operations, global logistic processes and production planning activities. With great ability to develop ideas and strategies that generate added value to the organization’s processes.
The spare parts manager is responsible for the complete process of the department from creating parts catalogues and parts numbers from scratch, creating parts price lists with the approval from management, negotiating with suppliers, purchasing spare parts for Warehouse, ensuring orders from distributors are expedited and shipped in the minimum amount of time while reducing mistakes in shipments and always looking to improve company profitability and maintaining optimum inventory levels according to management parameters and goals.
Main Responsibilities Spare Parts Manager
1. Manage the entire gamut of spare parts operations from inventory control, pricing policy (in coordination with the management), and warehouse & personnel management.
2. Implement strategies to improve the following KPIs( Key Performance Indicators)
a) Lead Time.
b) Fill Rate
c) Inventory turnover
d) Obsolete inventory
e) Profitability
3. Maximize profit through the effective operation of the parts department which includes negotiating with suppliers and maximizing selling price in the market
4. Provide excellent customer service support to Distributors.
5. Ensure smooth logistics and minimize order to delivery lead time.
6. Prepare accurate forecasts to ensure maximum availability of inventory.
7. Create market awareness of Genuine spare parts and brand building.
8. Conduct spare parts campaigns.
9. Train and follow up on the development of the spare parts team.
10. Source competitive replacement spare parts with lower costs while maintaining or improving the UM quality standard.
Other Responsibilities and Functions
1. Manage and lead the Spare Parts Department by establishing clear functions and responsibilities.
2. Collaborate in the implementation of the new ERP system and B2B platform to fully automatize the spare parts ordering system by the distributors.
Technical Competence and Experience
1. Graduate (preferably with technical background)
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in spare parts operations for other motorcycle companies or automotive companies. Preferably western style methodology with experience in Taiwanese, Japanese or Indian motorcycle companies or subsi
