The CEGASA Group was founded in Onate, Spain (region of Guipuzcoa) in 1934.
As a consequence of the business initiative and vision of the founders, they soon after focused their business activity on manufacturing batteries, the first in Spain to do so.
Throughout more than 70 years it has demonstrated its ability to develop innovative production systems that have placed it at the forefront of technological development in the manufacture of portable batteries.
During this period CEGASA has become a European authority in the world of batteries and we can proudly state that we are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of private label batteries.
At the same time, growth and expansion of the business led to the creation of The CEGASA Group in 1993 as we know it today made up of 4 main companies and 15 subsidiaries that operate in different markets.
CEGASA International is the driving force of CEGASA Group whose products are marketed in more than 50 countries around the world thanks to their network of subsidiaries, commercial branches, agents, and distributors.
In addition to marketing the products manufactured by CEGASA Group, CEGASA International also provides marketing services for products and trademarks of other companies with whom solid ties are built.
As a result of these agreements, CEGASA International markets products like lamps and light bulbs, cleaning products, food products, small household appliances, highway signing devices, etc.
CEGASA International is located in Vitoria, Spain (region of Alava) along with the Head Office of CEGASA Group and the services provided for the entire Group.
