Quality Manager
Direct Report to: General Manager
1. Summary
The Quality Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the quality and environmental system at Christies Shenzhen manufacturing facility. This position with direct activities of the quality department and will be be responsible for driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
2.1. Product Quality
2.1.1. Set up the quality assurance plans for Shenzhen manufacturing factory.
2.1.2. Ensuring the quality of all products leaves the factory in compliance with relevant procedures and customer requirements.
2.1.3. Co-ordinates the establishment of the quality policy and the quality objectives.
2.1.4. Promotes quality awareness and quality culture among staff and ensures quality control staffs follow procedures.
2.1.5. Contacts with outside laboratories for all product safety regulations and follow up product's certification test.
2.1.6. Responsible for calibration of equipment system.
2.2. Quality and Environmental Management System
2.2.1. Ensures and enhances the quality management system as well as quality of products to meet the customer expectations.
2.2.2. Develops, implements and maintains quality system as per Christies corporate standandards to meet ISO 9000 standards.
2.2.3. Develops and implements an environmental management system which complies with Christies corporate requirements.
2.2.4. Maintains, updates and improves the company's management system procedures.
2.2.5. Co-ordinates, supervises and carry out management system audit/corporate audit system.
2.2.6. Co-ordinates and carry out staff training on quality and environmental related topics.
2.2.7. Establishes, implements & follow up improvement plans, which arise, from quality system, reviews and audits.
2.3. Customer Satisfaction and Continual Improvement
2.3.1. In the event of internal problems or customer complaints, to act promptly and investigate cause and implement precise containment, corrective and preventive actions.
2.3.2. Evaluates the cost and importance of problems and instigate corrective actions at minimum cost.
2.3.3. Reports on the situation of the quality system to top management with the aim of encouraging its review and improvement.
2.3.4. Responsible for driving any continuous improvement program which decided by the top management
Qualifications
University or above, Engineering (Mechanical , Electrical or Electronics)background
Mature, Stable, Easy Going, energetic, be able to influences others
At least 8years quality/environmental management experience in a manufacturing company, at least 3-5 years experience at managerial position
Experience working in electronics assembly and test environment
Proven ability to support all functions of an organization in delivering quality product on time
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong understanding of process management
Strong ability to maintain certification status and project status.
Ability to drive root cause and corrective actions
Ability to conduct internal product safety audits and arrange for periodic EMC testing as required
Strong background in process metrics, FMEA, fault analysis, process validation, SPC, DoE and QFD
Specialized Skills
Knowledge/understanding of metrology and inspection techniques is an asset
A background in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing would be an asset
An understanding of optical components and their manufacturing processes would be an asset
Certified Quality Engineer would be an asset
Performance Indicator
Support Production in achieve the Global Quality goals
