Packaging Program Manager:

Job description:

· Manages packaging project plans and process flows for development projects and ensures that all phases of design projects are completed;

· Manages stakeholder input and incorporates into project decisions and manages project change requests and communicates for stakeholder approval;

· Ensures environmental aspects of projects are incorporated into the project plan;

· Manages the development and improvement of package designs, COGS analysis, and Design for Manufacture & Assembly analysis.

· Evaluate new processes and different package designs respective of manufacturing, distribution and marketing requirements;

· Create package specification and design documentation. Deliverables: Packaging design/ drawings, Packaging specifications, Packaging test results, Die-line review

Qualification:

• BS or MS degree in Package Engineering or related field with 3 years of work experience in Package Engineering or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
• Intermediate knowledge of package development and manufacturing processes;
• Strong project management skills with orientation to detail analysis and milestone targets with multiple projects at one time ;
• Strong working knowledge in package structural design, new package design implementation in a manufacturing environment, manufacturing automation implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of packaging components, packaging materials and processes (paper, paperboard and thermoform materials);
• Strong working knowledge of packaging equipment used in retail, software media, or hardware industries.
• Strong working knowledge in print and artwork creation methods and terminology.
