Job Descriptions:

1. Taking ownership for the product development and sampling process for the furniture items for TFG.
2. Managing the suppliers professionally and acting in the best interests of TFG at all times.
3. To be well-organized, proactive, focused and detailed-oriented.
4. The ability to think and act independently to ensure TFG's product quality is as per sign-off standard. The PD will be in charge of inline and final quality for the shipment stages of each product.
5. Doing renderings and engineering drawings, assembly instructions per US colleagues requirements. Confirming carton markings to vendors.
6. A good standard of English is preferable to ensure good communication with US colleagues and understanding of the US requirements.
7. A good knowledge of and experience in BV standards and testing methods is key. A PE must be able to conduct an in-house test regime themselves.
8. A willingness to travel extensively and work overtime.
9. 24 hours turn-around.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years quality furniture engineering experience in an export-orientated company. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked for sizeable sourcing operations.
2. Computer skills including 3D- MAX, AUTOCAD, PHOTOSHOP and MS OFFICE Applications.
3. Experience in veneer, finishing and solid wood products as well as metaltube fabrication and powder-coating.
4. Good packing experience and also good knowledge of BV/ISTA testing and methods.
