Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Leadership for expanding the capability to provide external manufacturing support as required in the region
• Conduct strategic reviews on our existing and future potential external manufacturing requirements in the region, including high-level assessment of opportunities to utilize external manufacturing or asset lean product production in Corning's value chains.
• Implement & manage cross-functional teams to provide regional leadership and support to key division projects resulting from strategic reviews and opportunities identification phase.
• Act as regional leader for external manufacturing supplier identification, development, management with regional service providers as required by Corning's business units.
• In conjunction with P&T global resources - identify tools and processes required to support external manufacturing in the region. Develop deployment plan for tools and processes in region.
• Assures Contribution Metrics/Cost Reduction are updated and linked with site/business cost reduction portfolio by active leader/member of cross-functional teams focused on process improvement, cost reduction and supply chain enhancements. Leverages site spend with business and corporate spend.
• Creates and maintains contractual documents (Supply Agreements, Pricing
• Agreements, Non Disclosure Agreements, Certificates of Insurance, etc.).
• Maintains effective supplier relationships by means of audits, visits, evaluations to review areas such as capabilities and capacities.
• Identifies new or alternative sources as necessary.
• Develops Risk Mitigation plans where necessary.
• Conducts sourcing activities (RFQ's/RFI's, Analysis, Sourcing strategy/recommendations, contract negotiations, contract maintenance and enforcement).
• Engages early supplier involvement as necessary in new product development(process design, commodity overviews, IP opportunities, technical advantages, JDA, etc.).
• Locates and selects potential sources of materials or services
• Interacts with Strategic Sourcing to understand the supply base and market dynamics, support execution of commodity and supplier sourcing strategy.
