Job Descriptions:

- To communicate frequently with the clients and buyers to understand their target audience, cooperated with Merchandising Team, garment factories and material mills for conducting extensive market research on fashion trends, fabric, trims and style ideas to develop samples in the right silhouette, material and price points.

- To work closely with creative director, merchandising manager, customers and factories by actively participate to R&D Concepts by contributing new ideas, pinpointing new product trends, textile technologies and suggesting best sales opportunities, so as to translating new concepts into commercially visible designs within the set requirements and aim to maximize overall sales performance.

- To support and handle sourcing & development of new qualities, as well as trims and accessories, co-ordinate with the Fabric team, to ensure products are developed appropriately and customer satisfaction is exceeded.

- To Coordinate sample development and mock-ups


Education, Qualifications & Work Experience:

- Bachelor of Arts / Diploma or same level in textile or clothing

- Good background and knowledge of fabric and materials sourcing & development, garment construction and sample development in the area of woven and denim (experience in knitwear also a plus)

- Minimum of 5 years’ product develop or merchandising experience in fashion, garments or textile understanding of woven production techniques in order to develop or modify products to reach a target price

- Knowledge of sample making, mock-up, laundry techniques and be able to comment and feedback to suppliers sample makers and merchandisers in the development and costing of product

- Sound fashion sense and good understanding of textile quality

- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills for both internal or external customers

- Good command of both written & spoken English and Chinese

- Travel to PRC and occasionally travel to overseas are required
