Job Description: - Responsible/coordinate the details of product design, like the mechanical construction, optical and thermal simulation/design. - Develop products in line with international standards (IEC, UL, FCC), company internal quality requirements and performance guidelines and OEM requirements - Develops products in collaboration with OSRAM colleagues or with ODM suppliers. - Monitor the product development process. Ensure project time scheduling with using OSRAM project tools. - Perform calculations, component and product specifications in collaboration with relevant departments, and other technical documentation so that prototype designs can be manufactured and assembled. Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions - Ensure that patent situation of new product development is checked and that patents are applied for innovative results - Work on cost effective solutions - Test engineering and pilot production samples - Support approvals at test institutions - Support production in case of quality or part delivery problems - Support production in product introduction / test strategy and instruction / selection of equipments / design and construction of tools for specific mechanical parts - Benchmark competitor solutions Job Requirements: - Bachelor, Master of Engineering in Mechanics, Physics, Material Engineering or similar - Minimum 3 years experience or above in development of LED product or similar - Sound knowledge in materials/substrates, coating processes & chemistry. - Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical, thermal, optical for LED product. - Knowledge in Project Management - Background in light source related technologies - Background in the operating characteristics of LEDs : electrical / optical / thermal limitations - Background in LED mounting techniques - Background in the relevant standards and regulations (IEC, UL, FCC)
