Plant manager Report to: CHINA GM
SUMMARY
Responsible for leading and directing the operations and support teams to achieve both customer and company objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Translate supply chain strategy into operational objectives and goals to drive performance improvement for all areas of responsibility
2. Support and deployment of core processes - Strategic Planning (STRAP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Management Resources Review (MRR)
3. Deliver on financial, operational, and business objectives, including Inventory, Delivery, Quality, Productivity, Safety and Cycle Time
4. Support the goal deployment planning and execution process including metric alignment to goals
5. Implement cost improvement strategy and deliver committed improvements
6. Actively coach, develop and provide performance feedback/actions to associates and support staff
7. Be a change agent - influence, consult, and lead efforts for sharing and standardizing of best practices and processes
8. The Plant Manager will ensure to have proper resources, documentation and standardized practices in place as part of the Operating System.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Ability to develop, execute and achieve tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership that positively impact global business plans, operating profits, practices, policies and procedures
? Ability to effectively select, develop, coach, empower and motivate the operations staff to ensure growth in their scope of responsibility and accountability for operational excellence
? Ability to communicate clearly to audience and to present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the business
? Strong knowledge and ability to develop and interpret operating plans, budgets, capital plans, cost components and financial statements
? Support and uphold HS&E policies
? Knowledge, skill, and ability to implement Lean manufacturing principles and process
? Ability to lead change and establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control, communication, and performance improvement
? Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a global environment
? A strong bias for action and results oriented strategic and tactical behavior
? Possess conflict management skills and understand self-directed work teams
? Ability to build strong teams with positive relations
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
? BS or BEng degree in Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
? Master degree desired
? Six Sigma certification preferred
? Ten to fifteen years progressive managerial experience in Operations/Supply Chain capacities
? Successful leadership experience
? Experience in the following areas desired:
- Toyota Production System
- New Products Introduction
- Electronic products manufacturing, preferably in multi-national company
- ERP, financial controls and reporting systems
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
? Computer skills
? Ability to analyze complex problems and arrive at sound solutions
? Excellent communication skills
? Bilingual language skill, English and Mandarin
? Self-starter
? Ability to travel as required
