Ivie & Associates, Inc, a US retail marketing services company, is seeking an Art Director for its China branch, Ivie Asia, based in Shanghai. The successful candidate must have proven creative abilities and have specialized in packaging for private brands and/or FMCG companies. A thorough understanding of the marketing needs of retailers and FMCG is essential. This includes the development of brands and private label brands, direct mail, catalogs, point-of-purchase, packaging, in-store signage, promotions and other forms of retail/FMCG oriented marketing.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Creative Director and Group Creative Head to lead and manage design development of creative projects that achieve client’s marketing objectives.
- Develop multiple creative concepts for a variety of packaging, marketing and advertising campaigns. Must be able to execute campaigns across a variety of media and to direct junior team members to contribute to the company’s creative efforts.
- Strategize, design and produce high-end results for leading international retailers and FMCG brands.
- Work with Client Services to ensure client’s needs are being met.
- Work within budget and scheduling requirements.
- Must have strong project management skills, ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities, anticipate demands, coordinate stringent deadlines and properly estimate time to complete work.

Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and preferably will be bilingual (Chinese and English) and bicultural.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience as a graphic designer
- Understanding of retail industry, preferably in mass merchandising, grocery, hypermarts, FMCG and other categories such as Health & Beauty.
- Demonstrated creative skills as evidenced by an impressive portfolio of work.
- Ability to manage and plan around rapidly changing priorities. And ability to lead multiple creative assignments concurrently.
- Knowledgeable of prepress & printing, and art direction. Skills in Interactive design are desirable.
- Ability to direct in-house photographer, out-of-house photographers and photo shoots to achieve professional quality photos.
- High energy level, readiness to take on significant challenges and contribute to company’s growth, while maintaining integrity under pressure.
- Software fluency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-Up and PowerPoint
-Strong hand drawing skills
