职位描述
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with US Global Sourcing team and local suppliers for product sourcing, development and program execution.
- Ability to identify suppliers, validate and qualify to meet Family Dollar requirements.
- Ability to support and leverage the development of new business opportunities.
- Develop suppliers to ensure full understanding of Family Dollar requirements; Maintains efficient and productive relationships with Suppliers, ensures all vendor requirements and internal procedures are followed.
- Consistently provide insight and market intelligence; reports findings and executes against current strategy.
- Evaluate & recommend suitable suppliers with competitive cost, quality and delivery terms.
- Travel to suppliers for seasonal sourcing, program management, preproduction review, and quality assurance execution and monitoring.
- Intensify the implementation of procurement activities using a more strategic and planned approach.
Requirements:
- College or University Degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience as senior merchandiser and in handling the relevant product categories.
- 5+ years’ experience in reputable Global (European and USA) retail chain stores, sourcing/trading company, or buying offices.
- Strong production and order follow up experience a must.
- Prior team supervisory experience a plus.
- Intermediate to advance working knowledge of web-based product life cycle management tools, inclusive of work flow, task management, supplier/service provide collaboration and management reporting (eg PLM) is preferred.
- Good command of Computer Knowledge (eg, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to facilitate interaction with overseas counterparts and merchandising teams, as well as suppliers and service providers.
- Ability to handle stress and work under pressure, manage and develop business exceeding target.
- Good price negotiation and problem solving skills. Attention to details.
- Positive working attitude, proactive & energetic. A quick learner and a team player.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
