Responsibilities
As part of PDE-IT, we provide IT design tools and services to HP R&D and Current Product Engineering (CPE) teams. There are a lot of chances to work for the most advanced HP technology and products such as Moonshot, Memristor, Cloud, etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for creating and maintaining all component libraries related to the corporate supported electronic design tool set. This includes the creation of logical symbols and physical symbols for component footprints.
2. Interprete specification drawings and calculate dimensions for PCB CAD component footprint model definitions.
3. This position involves support to projects, designers and manufacturing teams involved with PCA component definitions, development and final production release into a master library.

Must:
1. Experience with PCB CAD layout and / or component library responsibilities preferred.
2. Experience with using the Cadence Allegro PCB CAD application preferred.
3. Familiar with PCB design processes and component library building block techniques a plus.
4. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and a good understanding of electronics and computer terms.
5. Able to provide timely response to user requests and be highly customer and team oriented.
6. Expertise in one or more of these areas: analog, mechanical, SIC/PAL/PLD, PC board, power system, or high level system design; computer server and I/O technologies, micro-processing, CAD tools/languages (Cadence, Mentor, Solid Designer), electrical signal analysis, thermo analysis, USB firewire, VLSI design/architecture, etc. System Administration in Unix, Linux or Window environment
7. Commitment and self-motivation.
8. Bachelor's (undergraduate), Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
Desired:
1. Experience as Component Engineer is a plus.
2. Knowledge in UNSPSC (United Nations Standard Products and Services Code) is a big plus.
3. Fluency in English is a big plus
