Advanced Specialist Production Server/Storage/Data Center

Tasks

To implement the proper solution to ensure the smooth project implementation of Production Servers, Storage and Data Center

Key Responsibilities

- Provide management service regarding Production Servers, Storage and Data Center within BMW Brilliance Automotive

- Plan, Design and Implement as well as support potential solutions for Production Servers, Storage and Data Center technologies, based upon customer driven requirements

- Ensure that BMW Group standards are deployed and maintained in this specific technology.

- Identify and resolve problems through use of technical tools and application of skills and experience. (Second level support)

- Deliver stable systems through the use of predictive growth and maintenance techniques.

- Deliver problem resolution and document problems and status via management tool

- Use the relevant IT standard processes as defined within ITIL and QMP

- Specify, procure and manage external support contracts for Production Servers, Storage and Data Center

- Conduct customer projects and service reviews workshops

- Negotiate Service Level Agreements with clients. Provide specified levels of service

- Deliver training courses as required

Qualifications

- University degree in information technology or related subject

- Knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows server with basic applications technology and products

- knowledge of server clustering and high availability architecture design

- Knowledge of Server Virtualization technology and products

- Knowledge of Storage technology and products

- Knowledge of Data Center technology and products

- Knowledge of ITIL

- Project management skills

- Good interpersonal skills

- Proficient English, German would be an advantage

- Flexible response to rapidly changing demands

- Ability to function well under extreme pressure

- Lead and influence other team members positively

- Experience with IT Infrastructure,7-10 years

- Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows based server and related basic application operation,1-3 years

- Experience with Server clustering and high availability operation (VERITAS Storage Foundation/etc.) ,1-3 years

- Experience with Server Virtualization operation (VMware/Citrix Xen/etc.) ,1-3 years

- Experience with Storage operation (SAN/NAS/DAS/etc.),4-6 years

- Experience with Backup operation,1-3 years

- Experience with Data Center operation (UPS/ACU/Rack/etc.) ,4-6 years

- Experience with IT service management,4-6 years

- Experience in JV company,4-6 years
