General Position Summary:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Contract Assembly quality assurance programs.
Authority Statement:
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Contract Assembly quality assurance programs. Provide leadership and management for Quality Management System (QMS) and sustain the quality policy and culture for the entire site. Manage quality assurance, control processes, and programs by developing, implementing, and administering quality standards and procedures assuring product quality, continual improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Primary Functions/Major Responsibilities:
-QMS Management Representative for the site.
- Ensure compliance to customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Manage site Training program, requirements, and compliance.
- Manage standard practices for site Supplier Quality processes.
- Develop and implement monitoring tools for the accurate measurement of quality levels.
-Develop, monitor, and maintain site Quality Metrics (includes customer satisfaction interaction).
- Interface with the engineering and production departments to help develop process improvement plans.
- Coordinate ISO & other quality standards deployment and ensure compliance.
- Drive site product and process quality improvement using function-appropriate tools (i.e. CAPA, audit, etc.).
Specific Job Skills:
Advanced knowledge and implementation experience in applicable QMS standards and regulations (i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA QSR, TL9000, etc.).
Good working knowledge of electronic assemblies, components, and quality monitoring and improvement techniques.
Knowlegeable in Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools.
Ability to lead and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
Ability to quanitfy and assess benefits/risks of process improvements
Expert communication and presentation skills.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor degree in Materials/Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years engineering/management/QA experience or equivalent.
