Primary Function:

Perform duties as assigned by the Supplier Quality Director/ Manager, manage Asian Supplier's product quality per Char-Broil Product Qualification procedures, ensure the implementation of quality plans and supplier adherence to established Social Compliance requirements and drive the continuous improvement of product, manufacturing and quality processes.

Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of Supplier's Quality System, Social and C-TPAT compliance management systems.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Manage Suppliers to ensure product quality per Char-Broil Quality Procedures and workmanship standards through efficient and effective execution of Engineering Pilots, First Piece Inspections, Manufacturing Pilots, First Article Reviews, Pre-Shipment Inspections, Product Quality Audits and Manufacturing Process Audits.
2. Collaborate with Suppliers to establish Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) plans for Factory/Retailer/Customer/Corporate Audits; follow up and validate CAPA's to ensure timely completion of CAPA actions.
3. Manage to ensure suppliers comply with Char-Broil's Quality Procedures.
4. Ensure the creation, approval and implementation of IPQC, IQC, OQC and Pre-Shipment Inspection Plans for all suppliers.
5. Qualify and monitor supplier's critical second and third tier suppliers.
6. Review and approve the Problem Investigation Report (PIR) submitted by suppliers and ensure the effectiveness of their corrective actions through consistent and frequent validation audits.
7. Support Cross Functional Team (Factory Team) in performing Quality System Audits in for qualification of Potential New Suppliers.
8. Collaborate with suppliers and across internal departmental team members to continuously drive improvements of processes, cost, performance, delivery, quality etc.
Qualifications:
1. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
2. Minimum 6 years experience in outdoor consumer products industry; familiar with manufacturing processes including sheet metal stamping coatings and deep draw of complex parts
3. Experience in Supplier Quality Management
4. Experience in Quality System, Social and C-TPAT Compliance Management
5. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
6. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
7. Willing to travel extensively and work at factories located within China every week
8. Required to participate in routine conference calls with U.S. Team before or after standard office hours
