职位描述
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of Key coustomer Product Development Programs in Asia. This is achieved by working with the various product development teams, product management, Southco facilities, outsource and alliance partners, etc to define, plan, and manage the product development programs towards the realization of the project's product development and launch goals. The project manager must be capable of managing from 2 to 5 projects simultaneously from application, design, to product launch to meet customer requirements and to ensure the project follows our established PRO-04 procedures and work instructions. He/She must provide the daily direction for the various team members and keep the sense of urgency towards meeting the established goals and time lines. In addition He/She must provide the financial analysis and justifications as needed during the process, has budgetary responsibility for the product development programs to make sure the product costs meet the targets. The project manager also and will provide feedback to the relative engineering managers / supervisors on individual team members' performance.
Manage the definition, coordination, and execution of the project's activities to satisfy its objectives regarding of product application, specification, product performance, cost, and timing.
Responsible to forming and leading the project team from application to product launch, development project specification by review customer requirements, clarifies customers specification issues and outcome with external and internal customers..
Responsible for project management that includes quality documentation and considering goals for cost, quality and time lines. Organize and lead project meeting, design, FEMAs, testing plan, supply quality and manufacture support to ensure product development process follows Southco PRO-O4 requirements.
Manage project logistic flow and product cost estimate of each project. Be able to set up a project goal or charter, planning/implementation, timeline setting and risk management with team members to work on the major projects and independently to work under pressure
Communicate the status and requirements to all project stakeholders inside and outside Southco by:
- Provides regular updates to upper management on project direction and progress.
- Provides information & training to field sales force as required for product beta testing and launch
- Insures that information is communicated to appropriate management and staff in all areas of the company: operations, sales, Marketing, technical, etc. are in alignment with the overall project objectives.
- Interfaces with appropriate management to insure buy-in from all strategic business units.
Communicate with customers for business development and beta testing
Participate and support product design and new application. Supports Engineering Supervisor and Program Managers on technical issues. Gives younger group members guidance on technical program management issues (i.e. application, design, manufacture process, etc). Shares gained experience with team members to prevent potential failures.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field or higher degree
2. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and work with people across at all levels of the organization.3. Minimum 5 years work experience in engineering or manufacturing. Experience in product development, manufacturing or operations a plus.
4. Ability to work and travel across international borders.
5. Ability to interface effectively with suppliers and customers.
6. Fluent English written, oral communication and in-person presentation skills.
