POSITION SUMMARY
IE works with CM to launch new products, develops manufacturing methods, Shop floor layout, improve manufacturing efficiency, support process engineering and sustain product performance and yield though the life of product built at CM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Focus on process improvement, Cost reduction and enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, problem solving on power products not limited to process, component, or material problems affecting efficient manufacture of products within a specific area of responsibility. Provides direction/guidance/training to engineers or technicians to continual improve on the manufacturing and assembly process, establishes check point to monitor throughput and efficiency.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement technical changes or enhancements to existing equipment, processes, products or components to fulfill manufacturing and/or customer requirements to enable continuous improvement initiatives, develops DOE to resolve process issues, capable conducting Gage R&R on manufacturing equipment, develop PFMEA, knowledge on Weibull analysis, Process flow development including proposal for working holding fixtures.

Evaluate and modifies existing test methods, tool designs, manufacturing process procedures, optimum shop floor layouts and documentation, focus on DFM and resolve PFMEA identified challenges. Conduct time study to validate and reduce wastage, over production, focus on cost reduction, implement new process to increase manufacturing efficiency, Develop ROI to support capital investment.

Contribute to design-for-manufacturing input and new product introduction, through expertise in process knowledge, quality systems and process control and sustain engineering activity during the life of the product. Apply statistical methods in determining optimum manufacturing process and head count. Aware of WCM – Kaizan methods.

Provide technical training, mentorship and education to assist manufacturing operations, drives manufacturing on maintaining correct BOM structure and tracking product changes

Provide first level technical support to manufacturing for immediate problem resolution and work with development to implement DFM and DFT lessons learnt from CM. Validate any process change with time study.

Direct technical support to external customer requests/needs through Quality team

Education: Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics engineering

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in product launch and transfer with Electronic manufacturing and Failure trouble shooting experience

Minitab, Microsoft Project, Visio, Power Point.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Engineering skill
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand MRP system and component engineering.
