SUMMARY:

Act as the conduit between vendors and project team in US on all matters related to vendors including gathering and communication of quotes, engineering specifications, samples, timeline, project status, deliverables and any other project details from the vendor side to project team in US and vice versa.

This position will require a daily touch base with the Project Manager counterpart in US. During this touch-base meeting, all the tasks that require follow-ups will be discussed. On an as-needed basis, Project Manager in US will bring in Project team members (Product Area Manager, Commodity Specialist, Project Engineer, Industrial Designer, Graphic Designer, etc.) to discuss specific topics so that this position can communicate effectively to the vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that all deliverables from vendor are on time.
• Proactively anticipate and prevent potential risks to the timeline.
• Resolve issues as they arise and escalate critical problems to the project team.
• Coordinate project status pertaining to vendors with project team
• Drive all open action items with suppliers to completion based on approved schedule
• Resolve any open issues with suppliers through collaboration with the project team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Effectively read, write, and verbally communicate in English is a must
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience with suppliers in area of Project Management, Purchasing or Engineering
• This position requires background and experience in interacting with vendors on all aspects of the project.
• Familiarity with technical topics and discussions is desired.
• Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and multiple vendors is required.
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication and conflict resolution
• Demonstrated experience working with suppliers on various aspects or product development projects including costing, technical specs, timeline, etc.
• Ability to drive projects and/or people to their required deadlines
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as achieve goals in a team environment.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Innovative and strategic, an out-of-box thinker
• Passion for Consumer Electronics preferred
