Senior Specialist Program Planning

Corporate Division Logistics
Division, located in Shenyang/China
Employment – full time

Tasks

- Define the Manufacturing Program, with respect to the capabilities of all Technologies involved as well as Sales Strategy in China. Responsible for the operational shift pattern as well as the order planning

Support and prepare the documents for Program meeting with Plant Management regards the short-term and long-term Production request

- Create the regular production plan for all Technologies in order to fulfill the Monthly Program

- Coordination between all Technologies in order to run production in an efficient way

Key Responsibilities

- Program Planning (ensure the most efficient way to fulfill the required production volume in accordance of production capacity)

- Determine the production volumes, shift patterns, operating hours and inventory levels for engine assembly machining and dispatch

- Keep close contact with all interface partners in the car plant to react quickly on any changes of customers needs

- Communication both internally and externally (Informs the whole plant management about production results, deviations from planned production; arranges production plan, schedule and catch-up plans in case of deviations to the plan)

- Evaluates with all technologies their capacities of production (shift models, daily/weekly output, availability, shut-down requests, and restrictions). System input (full understanding of all functions of the systems necessary and used for program planning within the BMW Group)

Qualifications

- Technical studies preferably in automotive engineering, industrial engineering or business administration or logistics University degree

- Experience in the planning of logistics processes, structure and equipment

- Communication ability, cooperation with intercultural teams, conflict ability and positive exposure

- Ability to exposure to high complexity, interest and openness to other technologies, implementation ability and ability to assert himself

- Structured thinking and analytic exposure with complex systems

- Proficient English, German would be an advantage

- 4-6 years of working in automotive plant logistics with personnel responsibility

- Experience in project management, 1-3 years
