Advanced IT Specialist for the Maintenance of R&D Supporting Applications - Focused on Production Integration

Tasks

- Along with the buildup of the automotive R&D at BMW Brilliance Automotive in Shenyang our vehicle engineering needs a suitable IT support. Joining the IT maintenance team you will be responsible for the IT systems, which are supporting the production and logistics related part of a vehicle development process. You have to manage the IT solutions for the tooling, fixture and bins design as well as for the production integration. As a maintenance manager a number of sophisticated tasks are waiting for you

- You are responsible for customizing and implementation of the applications for the vehicle development

- You are budget responsible for the further development of the applications

- You will be in charge for Incident/Problem Management, Project Management, planning/preparing of trainings etc.)

- In this context a close cooperation with the engineering at BMW Brilliance Automotive and the IT departments at BMW is strictly mandatory

- These Systems below need to be implemented and to be taken over in IT maintenance afterwards: KoVA (BMW Brilliance Automotive Solution), DZA (BMW Brilliance Automotive Solution), RAMSIS, Addons for assembly path generation, FM-Stueli (BMW Brilliance Automotive -Solution), Team center enhancements regarding WF-Engine, DMS and 5Z handling

Key Responsibilities

- Accountable to accomplish the aims of IT projects according to time and budget

- Take over the PM role on BMW Brilliance Automotive side for G38 ItO Topics:

Supply of geometrical data for production (G38 ff.)

Access to drawings, deviations and first pages of NAEL at BMW Brilliance Automotive (DZA)

Enabling of evaluation via geometric data within the ECM-Process (m-gAMS, FTB)

Plan and provide Licenses and HW for TC, VMU and CV5

Support of the virtual process week at BMW Brilliance Automotive (i.e. UBM on TC)

Generating of envelops of assembly and disassembly paths incl. geometrical check (DMU)

Perform Ergonomically Studies for assembly process (RAMSIS)

KoVA functionality at BMW Brilliance Automotive (conduct virtual prototyping)

Enabling and support the design/redesign of tooling’s and fixtures

Press Shop: Supply of complex tools incl, the modification of their structure (FM-Stueli at BMW Brilliance Automotive via TC)

Logistic: Design/redesign of bins

- Conduct IT project teams (including involved suppliers)

Setup and conduct project core team on BMW Brilliance Automotive side

Setup complete project organization in accordance to ITPM

Lead team to define the detailed requirements, agree on concepts and solutions, conduct I-Test and UAT

Prepare and agree on PB and Project Schedule

Control and steer external partners including the deliverables at the project

- Plan of the content and the schedule of the SW releases in cooperation with the IT department of BMW in Germany

Define and implement a common release process between BMW Brilliance Automotive and BMW

Join BMW Release Planning from BMW Brilliance Automotive side, take care the BMW Brilliance Automotive requirements will be fulfilled

Prepare a release roll out planning/schedule on BMW Brilliance Automotive side

Develop, improve and implement of methods and processes together with the engineering departments

Join and prepare concepts / agree on requirements and solutions and roll out steps together with business departments

Setup CCB’s and Keyuser Meetings

Take over maintenance resp. and define after project CRs and maintenance activities with business

Qualifications

- University degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable qualification

- Excellent knowledge in Information Technologies (Client/Server, Databases, SW Development with Java or .net, SW Engineering, Web technologies etc.)

- Very good English skills in written and spoken (preferably basic German skills)

- Familiar with the product development and production preparation processes at automotive industries

- Experience in IT solutions like CATIA, Team Center and VisMockUp

- Analytical problem solving skills, assertiveness and confident attitude

- Team-work and communication skills

- Willingness to travel

- Experience as a project leader for the implementation of complex IT systems in cooperation with internal and external partners, 4-6 years

- Experience in R&D Processes at automotive industries, 1-3 years

- Practical experience as a maintenance manager with budget responsibility, 1-3 years

- Experience in management of complex data structures and IT Systems like CATIA, TeamCenter and VisMockUp, 1-3 year
