Project Manager Management Launch and SOP

Tasks

As representative of purchasing department, join BMW Brilliance Automotive vehicle project management team (by attending SB/WE meeting, PPT/IPT meeting, etc.), lead and coordinate all purchasing related activities including change forecast, industalization, tooling monitoring and conduct the project management before and after SOP for all vehicle projects in BMW Brilliance Technology purchasing department including for both buyers and supplier change control. Ensure on time implementation of all build phase for all product line in purchasing department.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate purchasing related activities within the BMW Brilliance Technology plant project management teams before and after SoP for all local vehicle projects, covering both Local Content and Imported Material. Coordinate within purchasing team and provide related project status/feedback to the project circle in BMW Brilliance Automotive including BMW Germany. etc.

- Align and ensure the mutual requirement among product line, plant and purchasing with proper management within purchasing as well as cross functional activities

- Establish and strengthen the Launch and SOP project communication as representative of purchasing department on weekly basis

- Establish a project team to provide Profile and profile change information, timing plan for each build phase for each product line, meeting minutes from SOP meeting, consolidate all project related information and monitor project status in purchasing department

- Consolidate on all supplier qualification efforts (led by SQE/Logistic supplier quality) before and after SoP with regards timing, quality. Report on these dimensions (Industrialization Status Report) into management and decision boards; initiate escalation process if required.

- Report overall project status on regular basis to purchasing management circle

- Support buyers to investigate on Bill of material (BOM), project letter, feedback investigation result to project circle

- Set up and develop process for project management in purchasing team. Ensure project status transparency, project on time implementation in purchasing department

- As interface between purchasing department, quality department regarding product line topic

Qualifications

- Master Degree / University

- Min. 4 year experience automotive industry

- Knowledge of automotive development, engineering, industrialization process

- Automotive components industrialization / production / tooling processes

- Proficiency in Office applications (Excel, word etc.), SAP

- Understand the process for development, change control, purchasing and profound knowledge for automotive components

- Relevant aspects of the purchasing process covering all phases of product lifecycle

- Supplier Quality Management (SQA), especially BMW/ BMW Brilliance Automotive specific processes

- Analytical thinking, mature, responsible and result-oriented personality

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and in inter-cultural environment

- Good command of written and spoken English

- German language skills preferred

- Background in automotive industry,4-6 years

- Operational experience in Purchasing SQA,4-6 years

- Profound experience/knowledge of project management,4-6 years
