Advanced Specialist Gearbox Function

Employment – full time

Tasks

Responsible for gearbox function integration and calibration as well as validation, failure analysis on vehicles and component level

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the testing of Gearbox function modules in the vehicle

- Responsible for failure analysis on vehicles and component level in vehicle assembly process together with component development and function development team until bug-fix confirmation

- Responsible for propose/steer in improvements for function modules based on testing results, with special focus on China-specific and customer related functions using defined development processes

- Responsible for first time operation of new SW deliveries on HiL and vehicles

- Responsible for propose/steer-in improvements for function modules based on testing results, with special focus on China-specific and customer related functions using defined development processes

- Responsible for the final calibration of functions with special focus on China-specific and customer related functions

- Documentation of test results according to defined test management process

- Responsible for root cause analysis and problem solving of gearbox related quality issues at development cars

- Support for root cause analysis of gearbox related quality issues at production and customer cars

- Planning and performing software and hardware updates on development vehicles

Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering or related majors

- Languages skills: Chinese, English business fluent and preferably good German knowledge

- Good knowledge in Microsoft office

- Training for operation of automotive high voltage systems (training can also be performed at BMW Brilliance Automotive after on-boarding)

- Functional understanding for automatic transmission and hybrid functions

- Self-responsible and reliable working attitude and initiative

- analytic and working method, also during work under pressure

- knowledge in function development, simulation and measurement tools (CANalyzer, BMW Toolset, INCA))

- Experience in Matlab Simulink concerning powertrain functions

- Experience in flashing ECU by using E-Sys or WinKFP

- Experience in HIL-testing and powertrain-/gearbox test-bench

- Excitement for new energy vehicles and testing operations

- Willingness to travelling inside China and extended trips to Munich (2 to 12 weeks)

- Working experience as engineer in software or function development, 1-3 years

- Working experience in the automotive development for powertrain, automatic transmission or vehicle electronics, 1-3 years

- Working experience with simulation and measurement systems, 1-3 years
