Advanced Specialist Shared Service Functions

Tasks

- Responsible to lead and to coordinate all shared functions and processes which are supporting plant 0: Logistics, IT, Safety and Security, VPS and Standards

- He is responsible to lead and coordinate all activities of the shared functions and processes starting with BBG M13 in 2014. Further on this function is responsible for homologation cars, VS(0), e.g. F49, F45, F52, G38, G08 as well as for BBG Job 3 and for all upcoming prototype cars

- It is his responsibility to lead and coordinate the shared service functions plant 0 to achieve the targets for quality, timing and costs

- He has to integrate the shared service functions, processes and technologies into the production of prototypes at plan 0 considering the economical use of resources, space and people, he fulfills the user requirements (product line, technologies) on the test cars

- He is responsible for the further shared service support development and of permanent Plant 0 in Shenyang/Tiexi with the target for close cooperation with R & D and all process partners at BMW Brilliance Automotive

Key Responsibilities

- Leading and coordinating all shared functions and processes which are supporting plant 0

- Leading and coordinating of all shared functions and processes, activities in the production of prototype cars and offline production in Plant 0 starting with BBG M13

- It is his responsibility to lead and coordinate the shared service functions at plant 0 to achieve the targets for quality, timing and costs

- Leading and coordinating of all the shared functions and processes, activities in the production of homologation cars, VS(0), e.g. F49, F45, F52, G38, G08 as well as for BBG Job 3 and for all upcoming prototype cars

- Depending on the project status and the available resources capacities in the shared service network he decides together with his process partner about the use and coordination of the shared services on time, within cost and quality in order to achieve the targets

- He develops the targets for his area of responsibility and confirms them with his first line managers

- Leading the further development of shared service functions at permanent Plant 0

- Directly influencing costs, quality and time schedule in the car project and the product line

- Responsibility for the delivery shared service part of prototype cars production according to time and according to the specifications. He enables product- and process evaluation due to production processes and environment, which are close to processes and environment of the series plant. He enables a series production according to the targets and the economical use of the resources

- Leading the confirmation of the preparations and preconditions which have to be fulfilled and holding responsibility for the escalation

- Establishing continuous optimization with VPS. Responsible for the Standers of Plant 0

- Ensuring constant skill improvement, qualification and training associate

- Regularly report to his first line manager and relevant process partner

Qualifications

- Appropriate tertiary education e.g. Degree or higher Diploma in Engineering complemented by a Degree in Business Economics (B.Comm) or appropriate Honors of equivalent further qualification. Relevant International Training

- Knowledge of BMW Engineering, Purchasing and Quality systems and procedures

- Leadership skills

- Expert in car production

- BMW Product knowledge

- Ability to communicate and co-operate at all levels in BMW organization

- Proficient English, German would be an advantage

- Ability to communicate and co-operate in an international environment

- Several years in Production, Engineering and Quality functions within BMW, 4-6 years

- BMW Quality philosophies, targets and quality techniques, 4-6 years

- Motor industry international experience / exposure, 4-6 years
