Advanced Specialist Launch & Change Control

Corporate Division Powertrain

Division, located in Shenyang/China
Employment – full time

Tasks

- To manage all product change related activities, ranging from product launch or individual component changes to complete new engine introduction or technical updates

- The primary objective is to manage change without detrimental effect to the daily operation of the business

Key Responsibilities

- Management and completion of all change related activities to ensure deliverables on-time and without disruption to production

- Resource Management (manages, motivate and develop Change Control resource to ensure that optimum performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the department are achieved and that business strategy is implemented)

- Launch management (co-ordinate launch activities to ensure a successful launch of the engine production processes within the engine plant and additionally the successful launch of the engine into the vehicle)

- SAP Key user for Change and Launch Control process modules. Responsibilities include initial system development in cooperation with BMW TA, IT Team and on-going improvement

- Additional responsibility for system training interface partners within Powertrain Departments change process

- Communication both internally and externally, with a critical interface to BMW TA Engine Production Change Control Team for common engine-related changes for common parts (liaise, negotiate and influence to ensure that preferred process requirements are met)

Qualifications

- University degree / graduated in engineering (automotive/engine)

- Thorough understanding of engine components

- Highly developed understanding of logistical supply chain concepts

- Project management skills

- Very strong developed communication skills

- Awareness of health, safety and environmental issues relevant to the area of responsibility

- Experience of working both cross-function and internationally

- English and German language skills

- Knowledge of BMW and BMW Brilliance Automotive China business processes, 1- 3 years

- Project management skills, 4-6 years
