Advanced Specialist Part Purchasing

Tasks

Ensure the supply with locally produced parts for the car production at BBA within the given targets for cost, quality, quantity and timing

Key Responsibility

- Responsible for the procurement of components for the local production of the JV including selection, development and maintenance of a capable and reliable supplier base

- Ensure a continuous flow of the required parts at a competitive price in the appropriate quality, the proper quantity at the right time to the designated location by performing the duties e.g. issue purchase orders to local suppliers, conduct cost analysis and price negotiations

- Verify desktop research, decide local procurement policy with suppliers according to the BMW purchasing strategy, perform supplier pre-selections and perform supplier evaluations

- Responsible for the procurement of complex modules. Project management of the whole supply chain

- Leading and supporting other employees in informal teams to achieve this objective

Qualification

- Familiar with MS Word/Excel/Project, SAP R3 and SPQM tools

- Good command of written and spoken English

- Additional German skills are a plus

- Mature, responsible and result-oriented personality

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, pro-active

- Proficient English, German would be an advantage

- Good knowledge of project management

- Minimum 4 years experience in procurement recommended
