Advanced Specialist Warranty Analysis

Corporate Division Powertrain
Division, located in Shenyang/China
Employment – full time

Tasks

- To analysis local produced engine warranty cases, to define the problem within agreed timeframes and handshake to problem owner for solution implementation

- Key Responsibilities

- Problem identification for analysis (To interrogate warranty data and identifying trends and topics for analysis.)

- Problem Definition (To lead the analysis process, leading to the identification of the problem details after consideration of other possible causal factors.)

- Target Management (To ensure that BMW Brilliance Technology business targets are met, including the preparation and collation of supporting information.)

- Information & Reporting (Prepare professional reports outlining analysis and results and to share the analysis findings with related department and transfer the problem to the owner according to PMP process.)

- IT-/System user for all relevant systems within the scope of operation

- Provide training, coaching and support to others in the implementation of improvement opportunities, thereby improving the quality mindset

- Assist the Team in implementation of agreed continues improvement activities

Qualifications

- University degree / graduated in engineering (automotive/engine) - would consider science BSc

- Basic knowledge of quality management systems, process management, the use of quality tools, relevant standards such as ISO9000, TS16949, EFQM Excellence Model and lean systems.

- Advance experience in engine warranty analysis and root cause finding

- Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in quality thinking and approaches

- Thorough understanding of business targets and objectives

- Highly developed communication skills

- Team and individual development, management

- Project management skills

- Awareness of health, safety and environmental issues relevant to the area of responsibility

- Experience of working both cross-function and internationally

- Highly developed written and verbal skills in English, with the ability to discuss topics and review issues with International colleagues.

- Problem analysis of Powertrain failures preferably in an after sales environment,4-6 years

- Expert use of problem resolution tools,4-6 years
