Postion : Marketing Promotion Manger
Report to : GM
Main tasks:
Market Understanding
Identify market and customer trends and communicate findings to Sales, as well as giving input to strategy and planning process.
Drive and initiate analysis of competitive market forces including regional market share analysis.
Segment Business Development
Identify, prioritise, follow-up and hand-over new market opportunities in existing markets based on market, customer and competitor analysis (scouting for, developing and qualifying ideas/new leads) and leverage marketing 4-ps to expand business.
Product management & new product launch
Drive implementation of product pruning and product substitution within China
Drive new R&D products and engineering products together with global D&E, China R&D, GPC and other internal stakeholders
Pricing
Set segment pricing target and monitoring execution
Approval of special price below outlining price target
Market Communication
Plan promotion budget including exhibition, incentive trip, road show, brochures, seminar, direct mailing etc.
Distribution
Design channel strategy together with GCQ sales directors / business leaders, and monitor execution
Budgeting and resource allocation
Serve as a budget challenger, contribute to budget instructions package from marketing, challenge resource allocations based on marketing plan
Industry Strategy and marketing planning.
Driving business unit strategy planning and convert into implementable business plan.
Develop relevant tools to support strategy execution.
Marketing management
Manage the interaction between business development and Sales Areas, design right tools to support sales excellence.
Build strong relationship with China R&D, production, global BDC, global program management and all other stakeholders.
Decisions Competences
Decides within agreed frame for business development projects.
JOB PROFILE
M.Sc. degree (Business/Marketing and/or Technical)
Minimum 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience
Superior communication skills and demonstrated ability to translate strategic plans into actionable, measurable goals.
Drive for results: Consistently strives to deliver results and shows interest and enthusiasm toward achieving goals and stretch targets. Ability to prioritize the most important goals and consistently follows through to agreed actions.
Engineering education preferred
Strong customer orientation
