Areas of Responsibility
China Engineering responsibilities
? Lead/support program development for Joint Ventures, feasibility studies for new program.
? Cost and Warranty reduction for JVs in China and other Global business units.
? Dimensional Engineering as GD&T and DTS support in Body/Exterior.
? Proactively support JVs for quality improvement, launch and future products.
? Support start up and operations of new test lab facility and benchmark.
Global Projects Responsibilities
? Execute global engineering projects in the regions.
? Lead or support Global advanced technical projects.
? Lead or support Engineering Specifications development.
? Support Body/Exterior SMT on parts sourced in China, Support Global Potential Supplier Assessment.

Knowledge and skills:
? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred.
? Automotive program execution experience in Body, Closures and Dimensional.
? Proficient in Design and analytical Tools/Software required, UG proficiency preferred.
? Good communication skills in both English and Chinese.

Experience:
? 5years work experience in Auto Industry required.
? Project Management experience, Product Release and Launch experience, CAE experience preferred.
? GD&T and vehicle level development experience.

Competencies:
? Self-motivated and able to work independently.
? Leadership presence and experience with internal and external cross functional teams.
? Proficient in analyzing and solving complex problems.
? Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
? Able to travel on short notice within/outside China and work outside Shanghai for business related travel.
? Willing to conduct and participate in conference calls outside normal work hours.
