Silicon Image is seeking Sr. Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

? The QA&R Department of Silicon Image Inc. in Taipei, Taiwan is seeking a self-driven Reliability Engineer to join the Reliability Team to define and manage the product qualification.

? Working closely with design and package development and assembly group

? Develop & execute die and package qualification plan, based on industry standard & customer use conditions

? Develop & execute both silicon & package qualification for commercial & automotive application

? Develop reliability stress hardware and characterization capability for new products. (Design B/I boards and work with engineers to develop B/I vectors)

? Assess reliability risk of new product, process, package, material & process during the development phase
? Improve reliability through DFM, failure analysis and root cause corrective actions

? Interface with customers on reliability related issues

? Collect and analyze reliability characterization data.

? Manage new product qualifications to meet product release deadlines and to solve technical problems found during the product qualification phase.

? Drive corrective actions to fix problems as required.
? Participate in product team meeting and improvement efforts

Required Experience

? Bachelor degree in EE, physics, materials science preferred

? >7 years hands-on experience in reliability engineering, package development or assembly operation

? Strong training in electronic circuits, device physics, semiconductor processing & electronic materials

? Minimum five years of related component level experience in Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, Quality Engineering

? Strong background in problem solving of electronic components and systems required

? Familiar with reliability prediction methodology & physics of failures

? Good communication skill: experience in application note, white paper & customer presentation

? Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

? Active, good communication skills and strong teamwork spirit
