Silicon Image is seeking Sr. QA Manager

To build and manage multiple QA teams, defining the teams charters and objectives, shape the teams into highly successful testing teams significantly contributing to enhancing the overall QA organizations delivery capabilities, as well as helping the organization improve the quality of our products.

Responsibilities

? Lead a team of QA engineers; drive QA planning and execution; manage QA resource allocation and development of people.

? Set measurable objectives for the team, execute and deliver the business results.

? Communicate with team and key stake holders on the objectives and status and progress.

? Own and drive the QA process and ensure the quality of the products.

? Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners from multiple global QA teams; advocate and adopt the best practice.

? Collaborate with leadership team to continuously manage trade-offs between scope, resources and time during the development lifecycle.

? Implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.

? Oversees the review of engineering designs for quality requirements and considerations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

? Contributes to functional strategy development.

? Provides guidance to the Quality Assurance and Product and Development teams in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact between the Quality Assurance team and Product and Development teams.

? Collaborates with Quality Assurance Director, to identify, define, and measure departmental key goals.

? Drive continual improvements to the QA team processes and practices on all aspects of project delivery

? Ensure the quality of the products being delivered to the customer base is as needed by the organization and is continually improving

Required Experience

?　12+ years technical experience in QA environments with at least 4+ being in a QA management role

?　Minimum BS in CS or EE or equivalent experience

?　Must have prior experience interfacing with customers on issue investigation and resolution

?　Must have excellent project management, problem solving, and analytical skills

?　Must have a strong customer focus

?　Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, support and senior management is required

?　Excellent communication and presentation skills are required

?　Must have strong organizational skills, managing multiple concurrent and very complex projects

?　Strong Communication Skills: An effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization, possessing a thorough written and verbal command

?　Strong Problem solving Skills.

?　Highly motivated, fast learner, team player.

?　Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
