JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supports activities required to develop new products through timely documentation, process analysis & improvement, defect analysis, and other technical support. Participate in projects to improve process and product designs, including equipment, from concept until production implementation.
1. Support of concurrent New Product engineering projects through the use of design-to-cost principles, design for manufacturability and the transition of new and improved products from development through full-scale production.
2. Assess and improve quality of internal production and the quality of suppliers.
3. Utilize Six Sigma principles to assure that processes, systems and products are capable of meeting performance and reliability requirements.
4. Establish process controls.
5. Conduct error-proofing analyses and determine root cause of process variation and product failures.
6. Work closely with internal and external technical support. Perform internal and external (supplier) process, product, and systems audits.
7. Determine cause of field problems & customer complaints. Implement effective corrective action in a timely manner.
8. Provide corrective and preventative action for parts, product, & process problems.
9. Define tooling and equipment requirements, capital equipment justification, and qualifying both tooling and equipment for production.
10. Foster design improvements to released products and processes through use of Design of Experiments (DOE) and other appropriate methods.
11. Introduce new and revised designs to released product families.

POSITION REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. Master degree in engineering is a plus.
2. Knowledge of Acoustic component manufacturing is preferred ( Loud Speaker ; Receiver …)
3. 3-6 yrs experience in a Mechanical/ Electronic company. (R&D experience and acoustics related is a plus; Pro-E/AutoCAD capability is a plus)
4. Strong analytical skills, experience in statistical process control (Six Sigma certification desirable), DOE, and other statistical techniques.
5. Experience in supplier subcontracting, internal manufacturing (assembly and test processes).
6. Ability to work effectively on a team; self-directed and motivated; strong interpersonal skills.
7. Experience with working on product design teams with responsibility to transfer products into production.
8. Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills. Strong project management capability.
9. Demonstrated ability to solve issues effectively and efficiently; process and change oriented.
10. Good multi-functional skills and must be willing to travel for longer period of time.
11. Good understanding of documentation processes required for design and manufacturing processes. Experience with windows based environment, word processing, spreadsheets, manufacturing programs (simulations and mathematical), drafting, documentation and MRP systems.
12. Experience working with mechanical fixture and tooling prints. Knowledge of acoustics/acoustic analogs a plus.
13. Understanding of the ISO 9000 requirements.
14. Experience with Oracle, Excel, MSWord, MSProject, Statistical Analysis programs, (ex, Minitab).
15. Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.
