Job Title: Purchasing Manager Indirect, GBS
Job Location: Shenzhen Nanshan
Job Grade: 27/28
Reports to: VP Global Procurement


Job Description
1. Handle a team of 40 Buyers – 3 Asst. Manager
2. Perform Quarterly / Annual performance appraisals for the team members
3. Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics
4. Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards
5. Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions
6. Handle escalations if any, and escalate matters requiring the senior management’s attention on a timely basis
7. Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics
8. Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues
9. Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes
10. Prepare Customized reports for analysing and incorporating improvements in processes
11. Give presentations to the Top Management with respect to the business


Job Requirements
1. Experience in the following domains preferred:
Order processing
Supply chain management
Order management
Procurement
2. Knowledge of ERP (Preferably BAAN)
3. Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook
4. Some exposure to voice process will be highly preferred
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY
6. Good analytical skills.
7. Coaching & mentoring skills.
8. Conflict resolution.
9. Reporting & Decision making skills
10. 10-15 years of experience. At least 6 of these years in a Manufacturing set up (preferably EMS) desired & at least 6 years in a People Management role handling a team size of min 30-100 members
Strong communication and presentation skills. Strong English skills
10-15 year experience in managing procurement sourcing and execution in a multinational organization with exposure to international procurement. Preference is for experience in indirect procurement
Ability/experience to manage bigger teams 30-50 people
