Duties:

· Lead / conduct applied research and development in Big data analytics and Cloud computing technology

· Design and implement BDA solutions

· Conduct software testing and QA

· Support and mentor junior engineers

Requirements:

· Bachelor degree with 6+ years’ relevant experience; Master degree with 3+ years’ experience; less experience for PhD holder. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Engineer.

· Proficient in OO programming, especially Java and C++, possesses deep knowledge on JVM, core Java and their performance

· Possesses deep knowledge on distributed algorithms and multi?hreaded programming.

· Experience in REST application design and implementation

· Experience in Java EE(JBoss/weblogic/websphere) is preferred, and PlayFramework experience is a plus.

· Experience in database operation and programming (SQL, JDBC, AD/LDAP). Deep knowledge on Java Security: key management, JCA, JCE, SSL/TLS, and Spring security.

· Experience with Hadoop and MapReduce is a plus.

· Mobile apps development is a plus

· Experience with agile software development methodologies and frameworks such as SCRUM, Test〥riven Development, is a plus.

· Excellent command of English, fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus.

· Self motivated and fast learner

Appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical and dental benefits, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work under a five-day week schedule.
