Major Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for supplier qualification and development, for both in-country manufacturing operations and other Asia Pacific sourcing initiatives.
2. Support contract adjustments, negotiations, cost reduction programs, and continuous improvement with suppliers.
3. In country contact for the lead global commodity managers.
4. Be responsible for the communications to the supplier:
·Quality standards
·ECN's
·PPAP
·Schedules
·Delivery issues good or bad
·Supplier Score Card; Addressing the Performance
5. Serve the role of visiting other Asia Pacific suppliers on behalf of the Group Sourcing Teams. This would include first visit to a supplier to evaluate their capabilities.
6. Assist with the risk management for sourced parts.
7. Support scheduling department at delivery backlogs situations and logistic issues.
8. Approves (or removes) supplier status certification and maintains complete records of assessments / audits.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, six (6) years or more of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance environment preferably in an APQP automotive quality environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Proficient in problem solving techniques, ASQ certification preferred.
3. Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations.
4. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural instructions.
5. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
6. Good command of English and Mandarin.
7. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
8. Ability to apply concepts such as variance analysis, frequency distribution, sampling theory, and SPC to practical situations.
