Assistant Manager Business Steering

Employment – full time

Tasks

Leading the area of business steering on Logistics level. The function covers the responsibility for four core teams:

- Budget control and target management (Logistics Department wide)

- Audit, process quality & risk management (Logistics Department wide)

- CoC Project steering & Early Phase

- Non production employees training (Logistics Department wide)

Key Responsibilities

- Budget Control: Alignment of budget alignment processes, stakeholder expectations, KPIs, status & reviews. Responsibility for the needed transparency of the budget that would be able to support timely & consistent decisions Logistics wide

- Target Management: Development & maintenance of the Logistics Target Management process & templates. Steering & tracking of the target achievement. Continuous benchmark & improvement

- Audit & Risk Management: Team & process development, responsibility to meet the required schedules for audits as well as for the resolution of the findings to guarantee the audit-related conformity of the logistics. Responsible for the proactive risk management for the BMW Brilliance Automotive logistics

- Project Steering & Early Phase: Elaboration & further development of the tools, methods, organization & processes needed to establish a Project Steering CoC at Logistics, which supports an efficient project steering as well as a long-term knowledge development & qualification of logistics project leadership

- Training: Responsibility for a consistent training concept which seeks a comprehensive knowledge of non production employees. The flexibility to face upcoming challenges & complexity in the logistics needs to be focused on

Qualifications

- Bachelor degree or above

- Understanding of the driving performance parameters (process parameters) as well as resulting KPI (key performance Indicators) of all technologies

- Profound and detailed understanding of the logistics processes and drivers

- Strategically thinking General management and Leadership competence

- Fluently in English

- Deep understanding of BMW and BMW Brilliance Automotive Processes

- Understanding of all relevant, Logistics as well as BMW AG IT Processes

- Structured thinking and analytic exposure with complex systems

- Distinctive assertiveness, ability to work under pressure. Secure / positive manner in expose with suppliers, Top management ==> good standing internal and external network

- Moderation-, Presentation skills incl. preparation of decision memos

- Background in car manufacturing, 7-10 years

- Experience with logistics planning, 7-10 years

- Several years experience in supply chain management, project management or consulting, 4-6 years

- Several years experience in leading people, 4-6 years
