Duties:

1. Standardising and implementing tool- data management, requirements, conditioning, development procedures and maintenance program

2. Aligning tool management system with sourcing and suppliers

3. Integrate all existing tools in the new tool management system

4. Facilitating DFM reviews with suppliers and project team

5. Design/engineering reviews with the development team

6. Signing off all DFM and assure part and tool specs to be achieved within time and costs set

7. Review and approval of tool drawings

8. ·Reviewing and consulting on the tool an tool production process

9. Attend / review tool trial runs to assure the quality of the part/tool/process

10. Define and set final process parameters for tool and process

11. Sign off for final approval of tool and process

12. Support the sustaining team by troubleshooting and consult in case of tool/part issues

13. Integration of the tool management system with suppliers

14. Audit suppliers and define, execute improvement programs with suppliers

15. Consult, tell and coach suppliers

16. Advice on phase-out or new suppliers

17. Leading and coaching the tooling team and increase the competence level

18. Coaching and consult product engineers from HQ and XM

19. Establish succession and keeping the knowledge within the team

20. Coach and support cost estimation engineer to establish cost estimation system

21. Review cost estimations made by the cost estimation engineers

Qualifications:

1. Bsc in Mechanical engineering or in mould design

2. Minimum of 20 years of experience in mould injection, tooling design and product development in high class international companies

3. Proven experience in setting up tooling management

4. Western and Asian tool making experience

5. Outstanding knowledge of tooling design, tool making and production techniques

6. Outstanding knowledge of tooling management systems

7. Outstanding knowledge of customer requirements translated in tool and part specs

8. Knowledge of tool making industry

9. Knowledge of product development and product validation processes

10. Good communication and convincing skills
