Position Description
- Contribute to the development of department sourcing strategies
- Drives execution of multiple category sourcing strategies and projects
- Contribute to team in conducting supplier assessments
- Develops a value chain focused supplier matrix through segmenting and supplier tiers
- Develops cost component knowledge base and supports merchandising teams in cost negotiations
- Drives optimization of sourcing pathways for the best ROI by analyzing Walmart’s and supply chain partners’ competencies, identifying cost reduction opportunities, mitigating risk, and developing contingency plans
- Ensures plans are data driven and considers the opportunities for driving open innovation, cost transparency, long term commitments, material leverage and value chain mapping

Minimum Qualifications
- Deep product manufacturing and supply chain knowledge in product category
- Strategic leadership, planning and thinking skills
- Value chain mind-set
- Cost negotiation experience
- Experience in assessing supplier capabilities & capacity
- Experience in pioneering new supply chains
- Knowledge of private label development (preferred)
- Experience with working in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate in English and local language
- 10+ years experience (5 years managing others); 4-year degree of Business, Merchandising, Trading or general retail.
