Title: Commercial Category Sourcing Manager
Reports To: Commercial Sourcing Director (based in USA)
Industry: Commercial including fixed-wire lighting, kitchen and bath, hardware, interior doors, flooring and plumbing
Scope: Asia
Location: Shenzhen
Start: Immediate
CP Home Décor/CST is searching for a Commercial Category Sourcing Manager that is energized, self-motivated, and prepared to work in a fast-paced and growth driven environment.
Key Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience sourcing and development in commercial products included but not limited to: flooring (wood, laminate, LVT, etc.) quartz/ natural stone counter top, bathroom fixtures, hardware, basins, kitchen cabinets, hardware, kitchen sinks, interior doors, hardware and fixed wire lighting, ceiling fans and outdoor lighting, etc.
* 3+ years’ experience leading product sourcing and product development teams.
* Extensive technical knowledge of the US commercial building materials, products, construction, and Standard regulations and compliance.
* Extensive knowledge of product sourcing strategies.
* Highly organized with strong task follow-up capabilities.
* Outstanding supplier negotiation skills. And are confident to interact with factory owner and top management.
* Solid knowledge of manufacturing cost structures including bill of materials (BOM), labor, overhead, etc.
* Good Knowledge of logistic supply chain – cross docking, maximizing the container capacity.
* Ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines.
* Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.
* Extensive MS Office skills with a key emphasis on MS Excel and Power Point.
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Possess keen ability to create, improve, implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
* Comfortable with frequent and extended travel to supplier locations in Asia.
* Preferred four (4) year university degree in product engineering, product design or international trading from a qualified university.
Primary Responsibilities
* Responsible for the near and long term sourcing strategies for commercial products supplied to the Company’s clients.
* Develop supplier partnerships to maximize the achievement of the Company’s business goals.
* Manage the prioritization of strategic sourcing & product development projects that support the needs of the Company and the Company’s clients.
* Ensure that the Company continually sources and purchases commercial products that offer the best value with respect to product quality, on-time delivery, price, and service in the market.
* Closely collaborate with the Company’s US Team Leaders to initiate and complete multiple product development projects as well as understand and remove barriers and obstacles that impact speed-to-market.
* Explore and introduce new suppliers to the Company that add incremental value with respect to product design, competitive pricing and on-time delivery.
* Continue to evaluate the sourcing, product development and cost effectiveness of the Company’s activities and suggest/implement improvements.
