职位描述
We are seeking a self-starting, motivated individual with demonstrated success leading technical associates in process engineering and test engineering for technically complex products. Future business growth may drive additions of multi-disciplinary technical skills of product design and/or equipment design within the technical team. Responsibilities of this role include functional leadership of technical team, developing strategies and resource plans in line with the Global business needs. In this leadership position you would drive functional excellence and coach, mentor and develop team members in order to keep pace with the rapidly advancing technology behind our process and products.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide hands-on leadership to build a high-performing technical team through mentorship and skill development.
- Partner with other Gore technical teams (US, Europe) to support product development and transfer efforts.
- Provide direction and prioritization to the local team for all new product transfers or introductions.
- Assess technical uncertainties of complex projects and drive action to resolve ambiguity.
- Develop, teach, and drive sound practices in quality issue resolution, root cause analysis, and engineering change management.
- Ensure that the engineering team is measuring, understanding, and documenting our processes, raw materials, and test requirements and their relationship to end-use performance.
- Implement improvements to engineering systems (product life cycle management, engineering control, etc.) to improve business efficiency.
- Champion the Gore culture in words and actions, including explaining decisions and holding the team accountable in alignment with the culture.
- Support the Gore practices of sponsoring, development planning, and the Contribution and Compensation process.
- Facilitate local technical meetings and coordinate interaction/involvement with global functional activities.
- Work with Operations, Platforms and Functional Leaders to develop and execute resourcing plans to meet current and future business needs.
- Participate in the EPD Shenzhen Leadership team and contribute to cross-divisional cluster initiatives.
- Drive and maintain alignment with Enterprise and Divisional project management practices and functional initiatives.
Requirement:
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
- 8 years of demonstrated success in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or quality engineering for a multi-national company.
- 3 years experience in team leader/manager role.
- Prior work experience in Electronics industry and/or with electrical testing.
- Proven track record of delivery of technically complex projects both individually and as a team leader, including scoping out project through to delivery of end result with minimal support.
- Strong problem solving and data analysis skills and ability to train others to apply a sound science, data driven methodology.
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and development of individual team members in technically complex areas.
- Appreciation of broad range of analytical methods, prototyping methods, manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across job functions, businesses and partners.
- Effective conflict resolution skills and demonstrated ability to drive change.
- Superior project management and prioritization skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
