Job Description
The Oracle CEP Test Development team is looking for a brilliant and experienced test development Engineer to work on QA effort in the web applications and backend servers tier.


As an integral part of the product life cycle, you, the test development Engineer will create and execute test cases/scripts, incorporating black and gray box testing. The test development Engineer will develop/automate tests, report and manage defects, and regress software fixes for new and existing products. This position involves working with developers, product managers and oracle field people to review and improve requirements specifications, write test plans, test cases, test scripts and test drivers using scripting and/or programming languages. Report defects and work with product management and development teams to manage defects until resolved. Assist in on-going process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting is effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated.



As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.



Detailed Responsibilities are depicted below

- Design, develop, and enhance test cases

- Automate new test cases

- Develop and execute functional and system tests to discover defects in the products

- Collaborate with development teams to resolve the problems encountered in the test



Requirements
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and skills; MS preferred

* LINUX/UNIX and Windows OS experience

* Three years of experience in software development / QA

* Experience with SQL, Java, J2EE, XML, ANT, HTML

* Exposure to IDE Tools Eclipse, JDeveloper, Web Services, JMS, Oracle Database, XSL (Desired), Oracle Web Logic

* Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities, and trouble shooting skills

* Strong hands-on testing automation experience (using Java, ANT, Selenium, etc.)

* Sound understanding of QA methodologies and test development

* Knowledgeable in software engineering methodology

* Quick learner of new technology with can-do and easy-going attitude
