JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Security Manager

POSITION GOALS
The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining security programs for CNIBR and other Novartis Businesses in campus to protect its human, intellectual and physical assets; and demonstrate responsibility and accountability for Security programs. The following are expected from this role -
? Customer engagement to understand the needs and come up with solutions; effectively develop and articulate a strategic vision security and business continuity responsibilities
? Identify, assess and manage any significant security risks handle and manage investigations of misconduct and fraud
? Implement security policies, procedure and standards, deploy appropriate technology; provide senior management with timely and appropriate intelligence to enhance business decision making
? Be champion of FM Business continuity plan, manage security response to emergencies and incidents
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for their organization’s overall Security strategy, which includes the following:
? Overall responsibility to manage manned security including VIP protection, technical security services delivery.
? Ensure security programs and procedures are established to achieve company’s Security Policy goals and to meet the requirements of the company’s Security standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
? Sense the organization’s Security needs and come up with security strategy, objectives and plans, integrate with facilities business planning.
? Assign authority and accountability for Security programs and procedures and communicate expectations throughout the organization.
? Hold managers and employees in the organization accountable for results.
? Perform regular self-assessments or audit to 3rd party suppliers, improvement plans takes place to address identified deficiencies. Ensure team to perform Site security tours to mitigate potential risks, fire, leaks, unauthorized people etc.
? Review the status of the organization’s Security program annually.
? Set a personal example and review security issues with the team on a regular basis.
? Ensure employees receive any necessary Security training (required by the company Security standards and by applicable laws and regulations).
? Encourage employees to report all security issues and potential risks, respond to employee reported issues and to ensure root causes are identified and corrective and preventive actions are taken.
? Hold management and employees accountable for fulfilling their Security responsibilities.
? Be expert in company Security standards and assure the security team applies to day-to-day management practices and operations.
? Be the Site Facilities BCP owner
? Adherence to budget to meet organizational goals
? Effective relationship with local communities including police station, 3rd party vendors and global and regional security counterparts.
? Adherence of sites to Novartis corporate and NIBR standards and regulations on code of conduct
? Conducts investigations as assigned in support of the Business Practices Office (BPO).

? Conducts investigations in support of the business to include non-BPO security matters such as external theft, threats and/or due diligence on candidates/businesses. Supports the mission and objectives of the Novartis Corporate Security and NIBR Global Security organizations and maintains effective alignment with those organizations.

? Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management with excellent analytical skills
? Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, experience managing people, projects and relationships
