Advanced Specialist Aerodynamics & Thermal Management

Tasks

- As an advanced specialist in development aerodynamics and thermal management you are responsible for the aerodynamic design and the thermal safety of the vehicle projects

- You are using wind tunnels and test tracks as tools to validate vehicles

- Further, you analyze aerodynamic- and thermal effects to derive optimization potentials by experimental methods in the vehicle development process

- Developing measures to fulfill all targets including discussing target conflicts and chances of realization will be part of your work within the vehicle projects

- The technical management of teams of model- and measurement technicians, preparations for test track and bench testing and simulation complete your diversified job

Key Responsibilities

- You will coordinate functional specifications, which belong to the system functions of the aerodynamic and heat management, with the legal departments. You will take responsibility for the function of the product line

- Responsibility of the problem management process and thereby the guarantee of an error-free start of production with respect to the product line and plant

- Organize, prepare and perform tests in wind tunnels and on test tracks and perform evaluation of the measurements

- Documentation of test results according to defined test management process

- Design and develop measures to improve aerodynamics and thermal management

Qualifications

- University degree in natural science, aviation and space technology, engineering with a focus on aerodynamics / fluid dynamics or related majors

- Creativity by the composition and tuning of concept proposals. Furthermore you should possess above-average goal- and solution oriented skills

- High degree of initiative and willingness to self-responsibility

- Good knowledge of IT applications including MS Office, CA, INCA, TurboLab

- Technical English / preferably German knowledge

- Teamwork and communication skills

- Analytical and interdisciplinary thinking

- Willingness to travelling inside China and extended trips to Munich

- Experience in complete vehicle and measurement technology, 1-3 years

- Experience in integration vehicle regarding to design of concept, 1-3 years

- Experience in development process, 4-6 years

- Experience in wind tunnel testing / test tracks and wind tunnel effects, 4-6 years
