Quality Engineer (Location: Fuzhou)

Job Description:

Acushnet Company (FootJoy Footwear Group) has an opening for a Quality Engineer. FootJoy is recognized globally as the #1 Shoe in Golf, and we are looking to fill a position in our Joint Venture Manufacturing Facility located in Fuzhou, China. You will provide support and analysis to Suppliers and FootJoy Personnel to ensure that compliance to FootJoy Quality Standards are met and maintained through the manufacturing cycle.

Primary Function:

You will work closely with our U.S. based Quality Manager and the Fuzhou Joint Venture Manufacturing Team to monitor, update and establish quality control where needed in the factory.

Essential Functions:

1. Initiate the analysis and corrective action to respond to customer compliant & quality feedback along with daily inspections in the factory;
2. Participation in projects and finish related work;
3. Study the process capability and report to Quality Manager;
4. Review the nonconformance and follow up on the corrective actions;
5. Organize the related departments to track and solve problem;
6. Assist in the collection of quality data statistics and analysis for continuous improvement;
7. Review the product control plan, and update as needed;
8. Assist internal audit and take actions to maintain Quality Management System compliance standards of ISO 9001:2008, GB/T 19001-2008;
9. Deliver training and instruction to quality auditors and other departments;
10. Perform / monitor all factory inspections throughout the manufacturing process.

Specialized Knowledge:

1. College degree or more, major in Engineering;
2. Over 3 years' quality working experience, familiar with footwear preferred;
3. Over 2 years' working experience in footwear industry, process and manufacturing experience preferred;
4. Excellent English and Chinese (Mandarin) language knowledge (spoken and written);
5. Computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Lotus Notes);
6. Good organizational and communication skills.
