Job Description and Responsibilities
This position will focus on black-box testing of Entropic’s broadband communications devices and technologies and may help in integration testing as well. The candidate will test reference designs using Entropic ICs and be responsible for all phases of system-level testing. The candidate may also directly interface to customers to demonstrate the capabilities of the Company’s solution and help customers integrate Entropic ICs into their products.

The engineer will be responsible for understanding industry standards and Entropic specifications, developing detailed system-level test plans & test cases, developing and managing test schedules, executing test cases and interacting with developers, reporting bugs, documenting test results/reports and verifying bug fixes.

Required Skills and Experiences

? BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
? 8+ years of experience in developing detailed system test plan & test cases from industry standards/system requirements, and in testing RF, Ethernet + IP/FTTx networking, applications (Data, VoIP, IPTV) and network management software.
? Experience in developing test automation and scripting tools such as, C, PERL, and Tcl.
? Experience with using RF, Ethernet, VoIP and IPTV test equipment.
? Experience in testing STB is a plus.
? Experience in a working environment with minimum supervision.
? Must be a team player.
? Excellent communication skills.
