Overview

KPMG’s Management Consulting (MC) provides services to our clients to harness the full potential of its business ability when the client is willing to do business transformation, or develop a new market. KPMG may offer services through the business life cycle. Our MC Advisory professionals can also assist our clients through the implementation process to achieve measurable results.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Runs large projects or multiple smaller projects and is accountable for quality of output

· Leads problem solving and shapes project or redirects team to address changing client needs

· Exemplary leader and role model who facilitates an effective project environment and coaches staff and client team members

· Runs elements of practice development alongside engagement management

· Builds networks around the firm and develops leads from those relationships

· Identifies opportunities, leads development of a sales proposition and leads client delivery

· Manages senior client relationships and is seen as a trusted advisor to clients

Qualifications and Skills

· Demonstrates ability to build client relationship

· Desire to be involved in business development with demonstrated entrepreneurial skills

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Has drive, impact, and financial acumen

· Pays attention to details

· Possess coaching skills

· Personable and good at striking a rapport with a variety of personalities; a team player

· Good team leadership skills, particularly with regards to having the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure

· Strong networks

· Able to quickly establish credibility with clients

· Excellent report writing skills

· Experience in confidently presenting to senior management and facilitating discussion in a workshop environment

· Self-starter

· Strong presentation skills with an excellent command of spoken and written Mandarin (Putonghua) and English

Experience and Background

· MBA or other advanced degree preferred

· Professionally qualified (either accounting, technology, project management, risk or compliance qualifications)

· Experience within a director or partner role in consulting or, if from the industry, with exposure to central strategy, performance improvement, risk and controls or technology leadership team

· Demonstrated success in leading teams within multi-disciplinary and complex projects

· Ideally with a track record of sales from opportunity identification to closing a deal

· Experience in working in difficult circumstances delivering substantive, measurable operational improvements in complex businesses
