Job Description :
This person will be a key member of the Application team in Microchip’s Wireless Product Group responsible for:
Support customers in design, development and manufacturing of Wireless Audio and other end products using Microchip's WiFi/Bluetooth modules
Review customer’s RF design specifications and provide feedback necessary to successful end-product deployment
Work with Wireless LAN Software team towards troubleshooting customer issues and tuning end products in manufacturing environment
Advising & training Microchip’s customers on a range of RF-centric topics including:
antenna design, selection and placement
impact of housing & enclosure on RF performance
effective system design for co-existence and steps to mitigate interference
impedance matching
Help customers getting started with Microchip’s WiFi & BT development kits
Help customer s with RF compliance-testing and certification strategies
Travel to customer sites for trouble-shooting, support as necessary
Job Requirements :
· 5+ years of experience in supporting design, development and manufacturing of RF wireless products, platforms and/or solutions
· Experience with 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz RF systems and applications
· Working knowledge of tools and environment needed for RF compliance-testing and certification
· Experience with RF measurement, analysis and testing tools including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, WLAN/BT testers (e.g. IQxel).
· Hands-on RF performance optimization, troubleshooting and testing experience
· Familiarity with Wireless standards – WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1/3.0/4.0
· Knowledge of Audio systems is highly desirable
· Knowledge of baseband modulation schemes in WiFi, Bluetooth and proprietary RF systems is a plus
· Strong verbal and written skills in the English language and Mandarin/Chinese is essential
