Position Description:
This position reports to the COO/CFO and is responsible for day-to-day operational financial activities of the business. This includes full charge bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, daily cash flow reporting and assistance with inventory management. QuickBooks proficiency and experience is an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Cash Flow reporting
? Full bookkeeping (posting AR, AP and standard journals)
? Invoicing and Collections
? Inventory reporting and reconciliation
? Weekly, Monthly and annual bank reconciliations
? Creation and distribution of P & L, Balance Sheet, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually
? Issuance of purchase orders and payments (via wire transfer and checks)
? Annual insurance policy reviews
? Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
? 5-8 years of accounting (AP, AR, payroll, general ledger)
? 4-year degree in accounting, business or finance required
? Excellent computer skills; minimum of 5 years of experience with Accounting Software and Microsoft Office. Very strong MS Excel skills a must.
Additionally qualifications include:
? Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal professionally with coworkers and clients in person, on the telephone and via correspondence
? Accuracy and attention to detail
? Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for clarification and direction when needed
? Some flexibility to arrive early or stay late when necessary
