职位描述

- Communicate expectations of individual job responsibilities, objectives, goals and the overall mission of the department. Hold periodic departmental meetings to review performance results, current activities and their objectives, and the future direction of the department.

- Ensure that employees are given proper training, tools, and resources to execute their responsibilities. Develop, motivate, and challenge employees to perform to their full potential.

- Staff a Materials Quotation team to administrate material quoting activity that yields complete, accurate, timely, “world-class” quotes.

- Participate in customer meetings and audits. Effectively present Supply Chain and Purchasing processes, initiatives, and strengths to current and potential customers.

- Support the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies and systems

- Support the development of Supply Chain strategies and systems. Obtain feedback from customers and suppliers. Collaborate with SCM, other manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers to develop supply chain solutions that improve Jabil’s performance and service levels.

- Optimize the overall cost of materials and ensure that materials supply equals demand.

- Ensure that Material Planners participate in determining MPS loading to create a realistic commitment that best supports customer needs. Maintain a disciplined process to ensure materials availability to support production activities per the Master Schedule without creating materials liability

- Execute Purchasing and Materials Planning functions according to business objectives, policies and procedures. Continuously improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the functions.

- Drive down overall cost of materials including component pricing, freight expenses, administration expenses, materials liability, and high stock.

- Ensure that Materials Price Variance (MPV) is optimized. Component purchase price should be projected to accurately reflect the inventory value for the financial period per the Standard Costing process. Ensure that quoted cost to the customer is competitive yet maximizes the amount of favorable MPV.

- Ensure all purchase orders are placed with pricing and terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed by Commodity Managers and Buyers.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree, 15 years purchasing, materials planning experience in electronics manufacturing industry, with sizable EMS is a plus

- A certification by professional organizations such as APICS

- Strong in communication, leadership, business analysis, process development, and change management

- Proficient in SAP

- Fluent in English speaking and writing
