职位描述
Responsibilities:
1.Coordinates and manages all aspects of materials control including purchasing, inventory control, and customer programs and warehousing. A hands-on approach to resolving issues and problems is necessary. Works directly with other departments and establishes cross-functional teams to develop action plans with target dates.
2.Coordinates inventory reduction plans that support the company’s strategic focus to continually increase our inventory turnover rates. Establishes targets and sets realistic objectives that can be met by the Supply Chain team. Reviews the progress towards these goals on a daily/weekly basis. Documents trends and communicates variances that support dynamic shifts in progress.
3.Responsible for the year end physical inventory process including cycle counting, accuracy, and reporting on changes required.
4.Evaluates the MRP system with the view to continuous improvement. Works with the IS team to develop and streamline processes in the Supply Chain areas with the concept of removing waste from the system. Develops auditing tools/reports with the IS team that will be used weekly to sanitize data within the MRP system.
5.Supports strategic sources of materials and sources new vendors that will underwrite the company’s cost reduction initiatives. Evaluate offshore sources with special attention to the logistics and distribution of materials, including maximizing Global Purchasing ability.
6.Executes major material contracts with vendors to support MRP system demands as directed by the Director, Global Supply Chain in coordination with Strategic Buyers. A hands-on approach is required to support purchasing activities. Works closely with the Buyer group on initial program launches paying special attention to material margins and the need to satisfy cost reduction targets.
7.Monitors and adheres to the policies and procedures with regard to TS 16949 and procurement sourcing and negotiating in line with the global business goals and objectives.
8.Monitors and measure performance of department (materials, scheduling, and warehouse) by establishing realistic goals and objectives. Motivates staff by providing timely and accurate feedback, dealing with situations fairly, consistently and according to company policy. Conducts annual performance evaluations of all staff.
9.Participates as an active member of the management team. Prepares and presents reports to the management group, as appropriate and is the Supply Chain interface and contact person with headquarters in Canada.
10.Contributes to a positive team environment within the global organization.
11.Other responsibilities, functions, duties and projects as assigned by the Director, Global Supply Chain and the General Manager.
Qualification:
Post-secondary degree or 3 -year diploma in Business, majoring in materials management.
Leadership/management/supervisory training.
Project Management courses.
Minimum 5 years materials management experience in progressively responsible positions within supply chain.
Strong manufacturing background, preferably high volume electronics.
Proven hands on experience in building and motivating a diverse, skilled, high performing and highly driven supply chain team.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) working experience specifically Kingdee software
Demonstrated experience with state of the art purchasing methods and overall cost reduction strategies and plans.
Experience in alternate global sourcing of suppliers for cost reduction programs.
Strong inventory control experience with successful reduction strategies.
Experience working in a global company environment.
Working experience ISO/TS 16949 standards and their application to the supplier base.
Excellent English language skills, spoken and written.
Proven negotiation skills, ability to negotiate complex contracts.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills enabling the incumbent to tackle complex supply and operational issues.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and oral) abilities essential to the development of internal and external relationships (negotiating contracts, supplier relationships).
Working knowledge of materials legislation including Customs, Duty and Transportation regulations.
Strong PC skills and proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word & Excel) software package and e-mail systems in addition to excellent knowledge of computerized inventory control systems as well as fluency on the Internet.
Ability to travel internationally and to Hong Kong on a regular basis.(min. monthly to Honk Kong)
Good business acumen combined with a demonstrated sense of urgency. Highly developed organizational skills, able to organize and schedule people and tasks, develop realistic plans while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability.
Understanding of accounting and finances as it relates to the supply chain activities.
A self-starter with high energy, results oriented work style and “can-do” attitude.
