MISSION

1.The purpose of this role is to ensure that when new products are industrialised into Global Supply Chain factories that the designed processes, assembly aids and systems are provided to suppliers and our factory as robust, safe and mistake proofed as possible. Ultimately this is to ensure that our processes allow the output of products at the highest possible consistency and quality levels.

2.The role will deliver different areas of study including Line Architectures, Process Architectures, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, Manufacturing Specifications, PPEP requirement for IG factories etc to the project team.

3.The candidate should be capable when required to challenge strongly, previous processes and techniques, continually looking for improvement and be seen to think out of the box on manufacturing technologies.

PROFILE REQUIRED

1. Required skills & knowledge for the position:

· At least 10 years exposure to manufacturing environments. Product design or process design experience preferable.

· Negotiation skills, and be able to ensure that design & industrial constraints are taken into account by design teams.

· Familiar with production processes and production organization.

· Strong communication and time management skills

· Always challenge the existing manufacturing processes and make sure the designed jigs/testers have completely considered safety, Ergonomics, Poka Yoke, Jidoka methodology etc.

· Hands-on experience handling automation assembly and testing designs is preferable.

· Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodology and Schneider / Toyota Production Systems will be an advantage.

· Knowledge of Six Sigma.

· Candidate must have professional work attitude, discipline, integrity and always set high standards that reflect well upon themselves as well as the company

2. Required Educational Background & Professional Experience

· Degree in Engineering Mechanical or Manufacturing from local university.

Masters degree highly desirable.

3. Languages:

· Must be proficient in both English and Mandarin (reading, writing and speaking).

4. Other Requirements:

· Creative, self-motivated and willing to work with design teams, factory teams and within a supplier’s environment, and able to maintain a focus on efficiency and time to meet Project schedules.
